WEBSITE VISITS

Data collected based on your online activity while on our website may include: your type of device, IP address, web browser  and version, geographic location, Chemexplained webpages you view, date and duration of your website visit, referrals to and from our  website.

WEBSITE REGISTRATION

We collect a valid email address, a unique username,  first name and last name during the Chemexplained website registration process.  We collect the personal password that you provide for us under the username listed in our login data.

WEBSITE MEMBERSHIP AND EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES

We collect payment information that you provide to us (by way of services or otherwise) when you purchase a time based membership for our website and when you purchase our printed educational materials.

WEBSITE SUPPORT

We collect email correspondence from our website visitors and members who are seeking help with our curriculum through our Learn@Chemexplained.com email address or help with website navigation and interaction through our Support@Chemexplained.com email address.

However  we may need to use or share your information with companies that assist in processing your payments for our membership services and educational resources.

Although we will do our best to protect your personal information we cannot guarantee the security of your information transmitted through the internet or email services.  Our website uses a Secured Socket Layer (SSL) connection to ensure that data sent between your electronic device and our website is encrypted as it is transferred to the browser.  Once we have received your information, we will take appropriate technical and organizational measures to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft and unauthorized use, access or modification.

We use tracking technologies (cookies) for the purpose of verifying the identity and/or credentials of a user when they register and login to our website. Users must be willing to accept cookies from our website in order to login and again access to their membership resources.

YOUR RIGHTS

ACCESSING, EDITING AND UPDATING PERSONAL INFORMATION

Users who have Registered and  Logged in to our website can access the personal information we have collected by navigating to the Profile page.  If you find that your personal information needs to be edited or updated, you can change your personal information directly on our website while on the Profile page.  If you experience any trouble editing your profile information please email us at support@chemexplained.com.

WITHDRAWING YOUR CONSENT AND DELETING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

At your request, we will delete your personal information. If you withdraw your consent for us to hold your personal information, as a result you will forfeit login access to our website. Please contact us by email at privacy@chemexplained.com.

SPECIAL RULES FOR CHILDREN

While our website offers chemistry curriculum for high school age students,  we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.  If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided us with personal information without their consent please contact us at privacy@chemexplained.com and we will delete such information.
